Your words bring back memories of that day and time for me, too. You are so brave to post this. Thank you. You are helping others with this post, Alichia. I hope it helps you, too... I love your art work with this too. Powerful!
Thank you for sharing this Alichia. I remember this time in your life with great heart ache for you and your family.
Alichia, what a powerful statement! Your mom would be very proud of you.
I am so proud of you and what you are accomplishing!
Artist, veterinarian, writer - many possibilities - I look forward to seeing what you decide for your future.
Very powerful. Reminds us that you are still a young hurting girl, but at the same time contain a strenght that most of us will never have. I hope that I will be able to remember that when you hurt you probably hurt more than most of our daughters do.
Your presnetation and "voice" in this podcast is very moving, keep up the wonderful work and keep growing as the wonderful, beautiful person you are.
Alichia, you are so real and wise! And yes, Brave! A real leader! Your story makes me cry and cry. And it also makes me very proud of you! I wish you had more opportunities to be a kid. I know you have had to grow up so fast. I really admire you, Alichia! Thank you for sharing this.
Alichia, this is truly beautiful! You were 2 years old when we started working together, at that time you and your Mom were a unit. I'm sorry you didn't get to have her longer. You did learn to care for little ones, do the household chores, and care for yourself. It was a year ago that I lost my mother how fortunate I was to have her until I was a grandmother myself. The pain will always feel the same but you will think of it less often. That is from my husband whose parents have been gone for over 15 years.
Your story made me cry, and I want you to know that I am always here for you. We have been friends since we were 3 years old, and continue to be so now. I don't want to lose that friendship. Your mom was an amazing person and she always made me smile. I wish more than anything she hadn't been taken away from you at such a young age. You inspire me when times are hard. Thank you Alichia!
Thanks Audrey I do also value our friendship and hope it last for many more years to come.
