He owned at least three gardens on his property. I mention these gardens because one of them had a peculiar form. He made it by digging with a pickaxe and created a flower-shaped garden bed.
We also went on a tour in Kennecott to the powerhouse, which was used for making electricity for the people who lived in the area. Inside the powerhouse are 3 to 4 colossal generators that were used to create electricity. The inside of the building is very somber and enigmatic.
The final day that we were there, we went to the river, made a fire to roast marshmallows, and shared the poems/stories we wrote during our time in McCarthy/Kennecott. Other than the bugs that were in the vicinity of my face, it was enjoyable to go on this trip, meet new people, and visit old but interesting sites.
