Before he became disabled, he was always interested in framing but could never do it. Now, Mr. West has made farming the best of his life; this is because it helps him cooperate with his unpredictable pain. Every morning, he awakes to feed the animals he and his wife have owned for quite some time: ducks, geese, pigs, chickens, rabbits, cats, and his one and only dog. When he tends to his animals, he feels that it gives him something to look forward to every day, an urge to keep on living. With this new approach, he has found life, happiness, and tranquility.
Mr. West was dealt a bad card in life by the Dealer, but instead of becoming bitter he has made the best of it. For every happening, there is a reason and an outcome that no person may like. No one may ever know why adversity strikes, but it’s just the way of life.
