![]() To begin, I think it would be best to introduce myself. My name is Kailey Wilson, and I am a Senior attending Kenny Lake school. My entire life has been spent in the pristine and seemingly undisturbed area that is Kenny Lake, Alaska. If you continuously follow my blog, you will find that many of my write-ups consist of Cross Country Running, Track, horses (I own one, his name is Maverick), and medical interests since I aspire to become a veterinarian and to study at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. But at some point, you will discover that I take an interest in the art of loose leaf tea drinking as well as loathe the color pink and most similar shades. Hopefully you will also get to meet some of my odd friends (maybe even see them) who make life in a rural community a worthwhile experience. As you can imagine, there are very few civilized territories around here (hence the rural label), thus we have to get creative and sometimes the things we come up with are, well…odd like us. We go hooky-bobbing behind speeding cars on frozen lakes, ride cows, and even jump into bodies of water weeks before the ice goes out. I hope that this introduction has given you some sense of how very interesting my life is, as well as convinced you to read further in my blogs to come.

Ah, yes, I look forward to learning more about the quiet, shy Kailey that I've been used to.

Kailey, just because I am missing from the halls of KLS - doesn't mean I am not keeping track of how you're doing. ADN sometimes shows your times - I noticed this week that you had cut several seconds off your time! It seems pretty unreal that you guys are seniors already. Hope to talk to you soon.

Kailey, Kailey! All the years of you spending the night at our home and I never offered you loose tea to drink?! I am so sorry...must have been all the pink and various shades around me that kept you from sharing this! :) Nice job and I do look forward to reading more!
