I moved to the Kenny Lake-Copper Center area about four years ago. Before that, I lived in Gakona, and attended its small elementary school. When I say small, I mean very small. I’m talking 14 kids in the whole kindergarten through sixth grades. That is why I’m very happy to be in Kenny Lake School. I’ve enjoyed many more activities here than I would have been able to there. I’ve also pursued a lot of different opportunities to learn more about subjects (such as this writing class) and meet new people.
Well, I seemed to have forgotten to introduce myself. Hi, my name’s Rylee, as most of you know. This is my very first blog, so bear with me.
So far, school is off to a great start. I’m especially excited about this class, and embellishing my thoughts and ideas I gathered while on our trip in Kennecott. I was a little hesitant about taking this class at first, but I figured that I’d try it out this year to see how I like it since I do enjoy writing. Mr. Voley is a great teacher and, already, I can tell that Writers’ Workshop will be one of my favorite classes. I hope all the other students agree, and I will aspire to produce many new pieces of writing this year.
So, happy school days everyone!
